Objectives:
1. To learn about the current situation in the Ukraine crisis;
2. To find out critically what are the historical, political, economic, geographic and other causes of the current Ukraine crisis;
3. To what extent is Ukraine culturally linked to Western Europe and to Russia and how does this tension lead to conflict or harmony;
4. To analyze and critique the actions and reactions of Putin, Zelenskyy, NATO, and the U.S. in the current crisis;
5. To know what could be done at different fronts to decrease or stop the toll on human suffering and lives;
6. To explain and find solutions to the racism against Black and Brown people in the evacuation and border crossing;
7. To appreciate the role of students, faculty, and the academic community in conflict and peace studies in relation to wars in general and the Ukraine crisis in particular
